Oba Nla Concert

Oba Nla Concert is an annual gospel Concert started by Adeniyi Allen-Taylor in 2009, to showcase Gospel Music in a traditional African setting, the maiden edition (2009) had an attendance of up to 400 people. In 2010 Oba Nla Concert tagged “An evening in Lagos” showcased one of Africa’s most popular City Lagos. The Concert Venue and all the branding of the event was themed to look like a typical Lagos Gospel, Social & Entertainment environment with an attendance of over 500 people, the concert featured other gospel Artiste from Ireland and the UK.

 

In 2011 , the theme for the Concert was Afro Gospel Jazz Night with Adeniyi Allen-Taylor held at the VCC Tallaght D22. it featured gospel artiste such as Nonono, Wole Awolola, Anton Cullen, African Gospel Choir Dublin

 

In 2012, the theme for the Concert was Afro Gospel Rhythms with Adeniyi Allen-Taylor featuring Nigerian top Saxophonist Mike Aremu, Wole Awolola from the UK, Onu Peter from Germany, African Gospel Choir Dublin, Mary Ogunniyi from Dublin with attendance of around 800 people it was night great atmosphere of gospel Music.

 

In 2013, Oba Nla concert moved to the TLT Concert Hall in Drogheda a state of the art 900 seater concert auditorium, the theme for the concert was An evening with King with Adeniyi Allen-Taylor, featuring  Josh Tosh from the UK, Otolorin Olaleye from Dublin, African Gospel Choir Dublin, Ishekhua Evborokhai from Dublin and Onu Peter from Germany.

Oba Nla Concert 2014 with Adeniyi Allen-Taylor and his Afrobeat Orchestra was held at the TLT Concert Hall, East-coast Business Park, Matthews Lane, Co-Louth. on the 25th of October. it featured Rebecca Oluwaseyi. African Gospel Choir Dublin, Opeyemi Abayomi, Angela Ifonlaja from the United kIngdom and also our host Adeniyi Allen-Taylor. it was a night filled with excitement and a charged atmosphere of good gospel music. Oba Nla Concert 2015 with Adeniyi Allen-Taylor and his Afrobeat Orchestra was held at the TLT Concert Hall, East-coast Business Park, Matthews Lane, Co-Louth. on the 28th of October. it featured Aurelia Anikwe. African Gospel Choir Dublin, Simple Faith, Wole Awolola from the United kIngdom and also our host Adeniyi Allen-Taylor.

Oba Nla Concert 2016 with Adeniyi Allen-Taylor and his Afrobeat Orchestra was held at the TLT Concert Hall, East-coast Business Park, Matthews Lane, Co-Louth. on the 29th of October. it featured Tolulope Makanjuola. African Gospel Choir Dublin, Taiwo Young, Mike Aremu from Nigeria and also our host Adeniyi Allen-Taylor. it was a night filled with excitement and a charged atmosphere of good gospel music.
